What's new to the 2023 Ford F-150

As it stands, the 2023 Ford F-150 gets a new Raptor R variant along with a new optional Rattler off-road package. The new optional off-road Rattler package offers up all-terrain tires (knobby). The Rattler package also includes all the features that are included with the FX4 off-road package. The new Raptor R trim is an even more powerful version of the Raptor that comes with a 5.2-liter V8, which offers up 700 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque. The Raptor R also comes with 37-inch tires.

Performance

The 2023 F-150 manages a wide variety of engine options, with even the starting engine being a powerful option. The entry-level engine is a 3.3-liter V6 that makes 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. The F-150 makes a long list of optional engines available, as well. Slotting in above the base engine is a 2.7-liter V6 turbocharged engine that makes 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Above the 2.7-liter engine is a 5.0-liter V8 that makes 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The F-150 also makes a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine available, which makes 400 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. The Raptor and Raptor R trims ensure increased power thanks to engines like the 3.5-liter V6 that makes 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. The Raptor R steps things up by making a 5.2-liter V8 that makes 700 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque. The F-150 can also be had with a hybrid 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 430 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque. 

Technology

If you’re looking to stay connected and entertained while on the go, then the new Ford F-150 ensures plenty of features. The entry-level XL trim comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a basic audio system. Moving to the Lariat trim boasts a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment display while the King Ranch adds a B&O premium audio system and wireless smartphone charging. The Platinum trim is the most impressively equipped in terms of tech, offering up an 18-speaker B&O audio system and a 360-degree camera system.

Interior Features

The F-150 leaves little to be desired thanks to a seriously impressive array of comfort and convenience features. The XL comes standard with vinyl flooring, single-zone climate control, and manual windows. The XLT adds carpeted flooring and power doors/windows. The Lariat trim boasts dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, and remote start. The King Ranch features a unique interior that boasts increased leather trim and heated front seats/rear seats and a heated steering wheel.
