What is the Section 179 Deduction?

Section 179 of the IRS tax code allows businesses to deduct the full purchase price of qualifying equipment, including vehicles, leased or financed during the tax year. For 2025, up to $1,250,000 in equipment and vehicle purchases can be fully expensed in one year.
